Picked up car from shop, drives much better now. Cost $1500 for the tranny to get rebuilt. Son might have to wait till Dad does some break in miles :D

did my water pump today. people say you can take one bolt off the p/s pump and then move the pump out of the way of the pump bolt. yeah, that dont work lol had to take it off.

then installed a hub ring spacer to replace the one thats missing. car rides smooth now. tomorrow or the next day ill swap the other 3 for the hell of it.

You should make a thread about them in the FS section with pics, colors, prices ect.

Don't kill me, but I drove my car in the snows. Never driven this car in the snow before. It does pretty well. My street is unplowed and not salted so I'm not really wired about salt damage. It's just a bit of frozen water.

Yeah you've been missing out lol. These cars are capable of being extremely good in snow with good tires. I've never gotten stuck and I've intentionally gone into deep unplowed areas just to see. Being a 4x4 gp the snow doesn't touch the bottom of my car until you've gone really deep so that helps. I've "undercoated" the whole bottom of my car now so rust won't be an issue there. I still have to do the insides of the door skins so the bottoms wont rust though. Rockers- well they're too far gone to save so I'm just letting them go lol. They'll get replaced if I own it for at least another few years.

What are these rings Scotty? Hub centric rings? Or something stock? I have been fighting the vibrations for years, and don't recall seeing anything on my hub or wheel.

Hub centric rings are for aftermarket wheels, stock wheels dont require them as the hub bore size isnt differernt.

They just take up the dead space and center the rim when you tighten the lug nuts.

i bought these 4 come in the set.

you jack up your car take the lugs off, see if you can lift the wheel up while its flat to the hub, if it moves you need em.

you can also measure with a caliper the inside hub bore of the wheel. i bought one at HF, measured the inside of the wheel, it was 73.0 mm and we know a w body hub bore is 70.3. so thats what i bought. you need to measure your wheels to be sure.
