• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Sounds like the pump to me, could be the filter fell off or is clogged as well. Probably the pump though. They aren't herd to replace, if it still shifts okay or did before, you could try replacing it. If it was slipping before or is now and you have driven it a lot while slipping, then there's no point. It's done.
The transmission pan itself would be a good indicator, too. If there's metal in it (more than usual), then there's no point. It's done.

Ordered it some touch up paint. Have a decent sized chip on the corner of one of my fenders. Stuff is like 14 bucks for a 1/2 oz bottle. Jeesh

Well today it's 100* here in ICT. I watched my tranny temp reach 213* just now. Looks like I'll be ordering a tranny cooler. Probably from TEP.

Eeek

I know aceofspades bought the biggest cooler from hayden off ebay you can get I think. He even has it hooked up backwards and it dropped his trans temps a lot.

Pretty sure that's similar to the one that TEP uses.. I plan on throwing one in eventually even though I haven't had a issue with the trans temperatures.

I freak out if my transmission temperature ever goes above 185*F...which it hasn't lol.
I know when mine hit 212+ when I was stuck on traffic on 75 when it was 95 out I was cringing. Since dan set my fans to run at like 185 or 190 it doesn't go over 195 really. I still dont like but what canya do.

Put a cooler on. ASE says that 175*F is the optimum temperature for ATF, and for every 20*F you increase, you cut the transmission fluid life in half. At 220*F valves in the valves in the valve body start sticking...

Install a cooler that's what you can do lol

I break way too much stuff, but if brando can do it I can.

Probably, I dont feel the need for a shift kit after dans tune so thats one less thing for me to break.

But ZZP says fluid temp isn't an issue....

LOL

A cooler should be one of the first mods to any car, really. I picked up an Exploder transmission cooler and installed it with everything I needed for ~$30. the hottest the transmission has gotten since is 183*F. The worst part of the job is taking off all the damned air ducting they have on the front bumper.
