• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

buy it brandon and drive it over for me :D

Doesn't look like it's going anywhere soon may be able to get it for 350 lol it's a magnaflow. Looks like the ad died lol I just looked for it. But if I ever need an hp tuner tune I'll buy it and bring it up and we can take a partial trade

Put 500 miles on my new motor total now. That's 5x more then the last one. Changed the spark plugs and valve cover gasket in my girlfriends car. And drove her dads camaro home under one condition. Do a burn out leaving the drive way. So I took him up on that. Rwd burnouts are 10x more fun. Lol

I flushed the power steering fluid and put on a new idler pulley on the supercharger belt. Went through the car wash. Then did some Turtle Wax compound. That stuff dried up to fast and was a pain to wipe off with the microfiber towel. Then rubbed in some Meguiars leather conditioner on my seats.

I catch myself wuss-footing it once in awhile, shame on me.

Today I changed oil and ATF with new filters. Flattened two deep dents in the trans pan that were bothering me. Re-used existing gasket, fought with the filter seal a little. 7.5 qts in. Bought 41-101 plugs but ran out of want-to fer today. Maybe that and rotate tires tomorrow.

Well after driving 800 miles I've learned there's nothing wrong with my trans, it's the calipers in the rear holding the rotors causing a drag which is causing my trans to heat up, once the calipers let go the trans stays between 179* - 190* with no problem doing 75-80

Which is reallyyyyy great news for me because it used to be able to get up to 230* at that speed

Wayyyyyyyy more then I thought possible lol averaging like 28 mpg.. I know that's not special but with 4 people, 2 12" subs, and a **** load of cargo. I think that's pretty good ... So this weeks job is to figure which rear caliper it is and replace it or both .

Isn't Kory near like Detroit, when I went to pappas house at rush hour I was just ahead of traffic and it was stop and go for and go for a few miles and sucked so much. I think Kory or Nick said it took them an hour or something to go a few miles it was bad.

Yea oh m god... It was horrible. I was loosing my mind. In the little town I live in we don't have to worry about that crap. So frustrating

I took a trip to the salvage yard and found a perfectly good drivers side fender in matching silvermist to replace mine which has the beginning signs of clear coat failure.

Fabbed up my remote mount turbo standalone oil system

Separate tank with 3-4 quarts capacity with a filter. Now I gotta chop the exhaust and plumb the wastegate

I picked up some 06+ dual piston calipers at the JY yesterday. The calipers them selves are pretty clean, but the brackets were caked pretty good. I wire brushed them a bit until the mosquitoes tried carrying me away, then decided to soak them in Purple Power all night. I'm getting ready to head out there now and check it out. I also got the wrong Keyfob for my car from the JY, but I was able to do some soldering and cutting to get my old Keyfob to work with parts from the new one.

I decided against painting them. The brackets are pretty shiny for being cast iron, I'd swear there were painted, but I've gone at it pretty hard with a wire brush on my drill and nothing has come off. The calipers are black and it is chipping in a few small places, but I'm still not going to paint them. I live in the country and drive down dirt roads a bit and they'd just get chipped again. They had a set of F-body's there, but I opt'd for the direct bolt-in. I'm pretty sure if I went F-body's I'd want new brake lines...again.

The brake line connects a little lower on the F-body's, making it farther away and stretching the brake line farther. Other than that, they're the same thing. Different bolts and such obviously.
