His didn't light ever since he's had it. The dic was the same but I soldered it already. I reused the originals

Either that or your soldering iron was too big/too hot. What kind of iron were you using?

Those 241 chips are actually resistors; 240 Ohm resistors to be exact.

I have a similar but much less severe problem with the Radio/CD player in my GP. The "REV" and "FWD" lights only light up when they feel like it. Pressing the area around the "CD/PLAY" button helps. All the other lights, including the "5" and "6" lights (which are on the same buttons as the "REV" and "FWD" lights) work just fine.
 


To me that looks so much better than the stock GP HVAC stuff. Good work man!

Edit: I know you don't have a GP, I'm thinking about swapping those controls over to a GP.

thanks. a bit of heat and solder and its like new again.

i do have one bulb out on the temp button you only see its out at night, seen that how too, so i checked the board out, looks easy enough too. if more burn out ill do em all.

Yeah so WTF
I can't take a chance with no lights using the 5five Morimoto dsp ballasts.
True TRS will replace them no prob,,,,,but after 2 fails I am not gambling
so anyway I ordered some potted Densos..so I get the warranty.
Had I known....150 either way but I would have saved a lot of dinkin around
 
raced a kid with 07-08 impala on the highway...bus length was established...got home smelled oil burning sigh!! vc leaking again! gotta figure out this pvc situation!
 


Did the brakes on Saturday. Tried to adjust he non-working parking brake (failed) tried again to diagnose the creaking in the steering (failed) tried again to get the downstream o2 sensor out (failed). Thinking about burning the car to the ground......
 
My downstream sensor was in there good and couldn't be removed in the position its in with the tool I had. Dropped the exhaust and got it in two seconds lol
 
Really wanted to get the non-fouler in there to see if the code would do away. This was the 2nd time I tried getting it out. I took a "spirited" drive to get it hot and left the car running when I tried this time. Still no luck.
