• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Did a ghetto toe alignment on my car until next week Tuesday. Before you could tell visually both wheels were toed out, I did the sidewall check to get it as close to 0° toe as I could possibly do. Basically you look from the front level with the center of the rim, and working your way towards the car watch to make sure the sidewalls of the front tire line up at the same time as they cover the sidewalls of the rear tire. It was quite off before, now they line up perfect. As a comparison I looked at a friend's car and his was lined up the exact same, so I'm confident I won't wear my tires out until Tuesday. Watch them both be perfectly at 0 lol. I doubt it, but it's close.

Also gutted my friends aurora's stock intake box, much throatier sounding now. We didn't completely gut it because he didn't want any more engine compartment air getting in, but it's about 70% gutted. He's happy with it, it's louder and lets a few more people know it's a v8.

Edit:
No it needs to be set on the ground first. Loosen them up drop it down and rock the car around then tighten them back down
Alright I loosened the nuts til they were almost off, raised it and moved the strut around and to the middle of the holes, lowered it back down, and tightened them. The suspension is still high, maybe I'll throw two new rears and have a lifted GP. It's ready for any kind of michigan roads.

That just means no ethanol at the station does not mean there was none added before it hit the holding tanks. Not to mention ethanol keeps your fuel system cleaner than gasoline ever will

I did not know that. I thought it was bad. I was told that it causes corrosion over time.

Ethanol has been in fuels since the mid 80's. The only thing about long term storage and ethanol is that it absorbs water , not something a daily driver has to worry about at all.

Polished up my black wheels to get them to look better. I will post in the detailing forum within the next couple days with photos.

The only leak I've found was from a broken coolant arm. I'll keep an eye out now when I part, but I never saw puddles underneath the car even before I replaced the elbows. I stopped driving the Imp last week after the first diagnosis, but since it's back together with some parts changed, I'll use it again as my daily driver.

So that's what's in store this week. An average of 100 miles a day with a mix of short trips on local roads to highway driving.

Its going to need an oil change soon.....trying to decide if I wanna get the oil pan, rear vc and motor mount done now or wait till next. The car has started leaving drips in the driveway again since its warmed up. So she's banned from parking there until its fixed, and I hate parking on the street so I guess I answered that question.
