• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Tinted the GXP's turn signals. On the fence about it.

Trying to upload photos but Photobucket crashes & Picasa is acting sketchy, & our photo uploader doesn't work too well on mobile devices.

at least i got a laugh out of ya. How did the meeting go?

It was good. Learned a lot and met a bunch of people. Got to put some faces to voices that I've talked to a bunch so that was nice.

On Monday I will be picking up a OBD scanner for my car that will work with my phone. Yay! :D:thumbup:

Got some new parts in:

The bigger part is for the rain deflection, as described in this how-to thread: http://www.grandprixforums.net/water-floorboard-take-2-permanent-fix-6961.html I should be good for the life of the car.

other part, often lost or missing if you get used GP.

And it's in! One less cosmetic problem fixed, oh about 101 more to go. :D

Drove it for a good hour in city/freeway. Had to take off quick to get into some rush hour traffic and got some wheel spin accelerating with the wheels straight forward. Still noticing the trans pressure drop after a while. The shift kit makes the 1-2-3 shifts better(still slower when hot, but much better) but I can tell the TQ converter lockup is way too slow. The trans cooler I installed is either too small or it needs to be remounted so it's at the bottom of the condenser. It's behind one of the grills right now which may not be enough air. I bought new mounting pins so I'll start by re-positioning it. I'd like to just replace my Pressure Control Solenoid and be done with it.

Got it aligned Monday, drove it all week. The hissing sound the intake made finally drove me crazy enough that the stock box is back on until I find a deal on a used slp box or suck it up and pay the $130 for it.

The part # is in the picture and is 15238632. It's probably around $5

That. If you don't have a nearby GM dealer that has the part, just Google for "gm 15238632" and you'll get many online sources. I paid $4.46 for it plus other part and shipping, almost $15 total for both shipped.

so.
i bout a 'new' maf today.
car is still broken.
showing the same symptoms as the last maf.
i'm keeping it unplugged until i can figure out whats going on.
a friend of mine mentioned that i could have a bad o2 sensor. do you think that might be it too?

connector and the wires are clean as a whistle

i'm not sure why this keeps happening ever since i put that ported throttle body on..
the way i see it, it could be the tune, or maybe its the fact that the (new) MAF i put in, was from a buick LaSabre in a JY, or that it's something else in the car thats eating them up like this??

i'm at a loss.
but until this is resolved i've been forced to drive it w/o the maf plugged in.
yolo.

lol

Glad to see you didn't get rid of one of the best looking Gp's on here for the B.ig M.oney W.asted!
No offensene but they just ain't my cup of tea... The Gp is tits though! :th_thumb-up:
