Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

The search function is hating me. I did a search for "home depot lip" and also "home depot splitter" with no results other than this post of yours. Mind linking me to the How-To on this?

Funny, I did that very thing many a time today and it didn't wanna let go.

driver side? that side seems to put up more of a fight. i got mine out with a Stanley pry bar.(took about 10 tries) its still a hard quick pop. the trick is you cant be on the clip with any pressure before the quick pop.

Tried to replace the axle seal for the right CV. Got down to the CV...and the d* thing won't budge. Axle removal tool will be in tomorrow morning. I sure hope there's nothing else wrong after that failure on Sunday afternoon...Good news is that the tranny filter change went off without a single hitch.

50 dollar slide hammer with 9.99 CV axle adapter = 2 slides and done

Flushed the coolant, replaced both upper and lower radiator hoses, and changed out the coolant recovery tank (clogged with Dexcool sludge and otherwise inoperable for two months until I got around to replacing it). My radiator has seen some happier days, I'll need to upgrade probably next spring.

I guesstimated it would be a two hour job, it actually took me three.

First time in my life that the actual job didn't take three times longer than anticipated.

I always tell my wife how long it will take me to do something to the car, and it usually takes me twice as long as I said it would. She now knows to add time.......

Finished that motherf*g piece of s* godd* drive shaft and the diff seal. The tool that O'Reilly's got for me is a two-piece kit of glorified tuning forks. With the space between the right side tranny housing and shaft, I needed both the spacer and the separating forks, but a few hammer blows at the stem portion of the forks and I was DONE. Here in a week or two, I'm planning a power steering pump and oil change on the Camaro.

I hope it is. Its rattling so I suspect its giving out and hoping that when we replace the cat it would make the smell go away.

I just wasn't sure if there was other things I needed to check.
