• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

the boys in blue got to run the gxp plates for the first time tonight.. i grazed the center turn lane and he didn't like that. asked me 4 times if i was drinking. and then its like 80 degrees out and 100% humidity so i'm sweating and he was like.. why you sweating.. and i'm like... cause its ****ing hot out.. lay off.. i sweat easy! no ticket though or anything.. thank goodness. don't need that before i leave for Alaska.

It's random, I don't wanna shift into OD is happening more often. It's fine in 1-3 and then when you go to get on it, randomly it just wont go above 2500-3000 rpm.
It did it to me on the way home from work so after I got out of traffic I turned down a country road and had it up to 40ish and laid into it and it didn't want to shift. So I let off the gas and slowed it down and did it again and it was fine. Then it wouldn't do it again after that.

It's very random and a PITA. No codes, fluid looks fine and level is good. No engine studder, just feels like the transmission is like, mehhh....I don't really feel like it right now, give me a bit. No odd noises that I have noticed. I don't feel the transmission slip at all. Just a hesitation I guess is how I would describe it.
I added a bottle of Lucas about a month ago when we first noticed it and it didn't seem to change anything.
I did a pan drop/filter change last summer, so around 115k miles I think? And nothing looked abnormal then.

Sounds like it's not unlocking the torque converter and or downshifting. Please run these tests. Get up to 45mph and hold it as if you are cruising normally. The torque converter should lock and your rpm should be as low as they are going to be. Without moving your foot from the throttle, lightly touch the brake pedal with your left foot (enough to get the brake lights on..but not slow the car). The rpm should jump 200-500 when you touch the brake. That would mean the torque converter unlocked.

Now try this as well.. the same cruising along, slap it fully to the floor. Does it downshift and take off appropriately?

Agreed on checking it for codes, even if the light isn't on. Something acting up once may not trigger the light. Say the TPS (throttle position sensor) is acting up a little and the pcm can't see the proper TP to downshift.. it's not going to downshift.

Might be something simple and easy.. (did you get your TPS from DSmurfs?) lol

no thinkng about leaving work, phone and everthing i know is blowing up. IM not one to be sad, shed a tear, or any of the above. Im truly having a hard day.
