• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

What did I do wrong? I bought some exact match paint for some bumper plugs for where the front license plate used to be. The plug in middle looks correct and that's cause I put water on it. But when water dries looks like the rest. I did 5 coats.

ok did you get mate paint? also too how far were you from it when you painted it? it looks like your blowing to dry

first off. lift them out of the cardboard so they are not touching it via the head. then try some clear coat on top. it may make it shine.

thats the other part, light coat.. also sand those first so it sticks..

paint isnt just as easy as spray and go.. but its a learning process.

ive learned how to wire stuff in the free air, f cardboard lol

prep is always key, even for something that small. id strip them down sand them up a bit, one very light fast pass, then 3 more, then clear coat a few times, same way soft light passes. so light you dont want full coverage for any of the coats.

its a grey filler primer, not high build, just light.

then base

then clear

some secrect steps in between .. and after ;)

naw just the standard sand etc.

i use 3 coats of high build then sand 80% off then i use gray primer 3 coats then wet sand it tell its smooth then color and wet sand again then clear it then the final wet sand then buff to a shine. yeah to many steps but looks perfect!!
