What did you do to your Car today?

finished these weed whacker racks today. used bed liner spray on to paint them.

they have a hook up top to hang on the top of the inside of the trailer wall, whackers go in the little cage, and then a pin holds them in.

not the way i wanted to build them, my friends whole plan. in the end they look better then i thought but he could have built what was for sale in 1/2 the time and effort, but hes thick headed and dont listen.

or i could have fabed these up in no time, i know it lol

these cost 180 to 200 new, the materials cost less then 50 to build it. i priced it all out. he just refused to listen lol

Found out my ac doesn't work. That's cutting into the budget on the comp g

I know of a cheap fix, go to target or wal mart and by a hand held fan. Drive with one hand and use the other to hold the fan and Bam, instant Air Conditioning.

What kind of bedliner spray did you use? What did it run you?

pretty sure it was dupla color, was $ 10 a can. the can gave me 3 coats on the racks.


for parts or touch ups this stuff seems good. i dont know if id spray a whole truck bed. (even at 10 a can it would add up fast) i did a herculiner roller/brush on in my trucks bed. came out good, used the spray for touch up on the tail gate where it got the most traffic. the herculiner does chip off over time, if beaten on long enough.

i used my tail gate as a work bench so you get the daily use it saw.

Put a can of r134a in it and the compressor runs and sounds fine. Now to put uv dyein it and find the leak

I was thinking of lining the interior of my Stealth with bedliner (whether spray on or roll on) under the carpet to help sound deadening.

as i was reading the can, it does all of that. it did have a strong spray, (so masking would be a good idea) and is rubberized, i touched it while wet, nice and thick. ill know tomorrow when its full dry how it came out.

you got me thinking now lol my rear deck could use some help. its got the rattles if i turn the amp up any more then it is.

Got new tires, Suv had big ass tires so only goodyear carried that size and got the Firestone Destination LE2 from them.

Charged the AC in the Corvette today and it's nice and cold Hopefully it doesn't all leak out >.> Also checked the fluid level in the manual trans and the OD unit and both are good. Although I wiped a bunch of crud off of a connector that goes into the OD unit and it started to work a lot better than it has been so.... knock on wood, hopefully that fixed all the OD problems. Still have reverse noise though :/
