• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Let's see...Dan's had

Motor issues
Trans issues
Trans again issues
Heater core issues
Motor issues
and a lot of little stuff that we won't mention.

The guys at the parts store can't figure out what the heck I do with so many wheel bearings. In the three year warranty period, I've probably had it warrantied out 30 times or more.

Last night I finally fixed my C0040 issue - that came with the car when I bought it; No more annoying warning lights. Also I pulled the center console to clean it since whoever had the car before me exploded a dark soda everywhere (Guessing that's why the floor mats are gone). The soda caused the buttons for the HVAC to stick (cleaned) and the tc button (cleaned now). After that I vacuumed and fixed the seats as the part where the meet for the back was not connected. Checked tired pressure now all good and I'm happy for the moment

Picked it up from the dealer. It's so nice to have working remote start and keyless entry again. And its got quiet the range on it. Yay!
I also had them do the ignition recall fix and cut me a spare key.

I need a spare for my GTP, how would I go about getting one?

I have a spare key fob I can use to unlock the doors in a pinch, but no ignition key.

I only got 1 key and two fobs with mine. The original owner said he lost the first key years ago, and the one I use is actually the spare.

Kinda sucks. Buy a gm uncut programmable key off ebay and have it cut. Make sure it turns (but wont start) and do the 60 minute programming method.

"Insert new key into ignition cylinder and turn it to the ON position.
(As far as you can go without cranking engine)
The security light on the dash will illuminate and stay on for ten minutes.
When the security light goes out, you have one minute to start the next step.

2. Turn the ignition cylinder to OFF and then back to the ON position.
The security light on the dash will illuminate and stay on for ten more minutes.

3. Turn the ignition cylinder to OFF and then back to the ON position.
The security light on the dash will illuminate and stay on for ten more minutes.

4. After the security light has gone off for the third time, turn key off and remove
from ignition. The key is now programmed and all other keys have been erased.

5. Insert key and start vehicle to test key."

Maybe it's a half hour, thought it was 20 minutes each time.
