• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Drove to Ft Wayne for a mini meet, had a blast and just got back. Either it was all uphill to ft wayne or this car is bipolar. I pulled 27mpg to ft wayne and 30 on the way back *shrugs*

Can't wait til they're done

Took the 2004 to Houston so I could go the the consulate on Westheimer (got really great mileage); decided to go take my wife to Galveston because why not we had time for a drive. We always run into festivals without knowing and (sorry I don't have one/much knowledge of) we ran into a giant motorcycle rally there as well as an architecture meeting at Rice. It was cool and we putzed around for a while before heading back. I have decided Houston is evil and tried to trap everyone in the city since it had 45 closed entirely on the north end. After that We took some side roads heading to 35 and ran into the renaissance.

Anyway, the is the first long trip I've taken in my 04 and it went very well. She has earned some pampering for today I'll wash her inside and out (and engine bay). After that I'll be looking at it to decide what I want to do next - I need floor mats guys. I want something that looks nice; any recommendations are welcomed - when I bought the car there were none at all.

@ 02NavyBlue cool lights and under the hood too.

I just changed the oil. It's been 6 months since the last change. I only put just under 3600 miles on it in that 6 months.

I wouldn't be surprised if I stay under 3000 miles for the next 6 months. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if it is under 2,000 miles in the next 6 months.

Ive owned mine for 2 years and 2 weeks. Only put on just over 7k miles in that time. And 3 oil changes. (one was the week I bought it)

Got rear ended in the Regal today.. then the ***** ran off. No plates on the car or anything. Luckily the damage was minor.. still pisses me of though.

I picked up my parts today at the store for the UIM gasket replacement. I'm going to be starting it next weekend! :th_rockon2:

its a 3 hours job tops if its your first time out. you could have it done before dinner time. lol

if your tall, ( like me) drive up on ramps first, or a jack under the frame to lift the nose up works too. helps on the back.

Oh yeah I know that, I'm 6 foot tall! When you rise it in the front it definitely saves your back. That's what I did when replaced the head gaskets on a Monte Carlo i had.

The weather is crappy here, right now and I have to much crap in my garage to do anything in there. So, I'm waiting to next weekend, bro!

Changing the rockers with my boy, havin a great day. Just got the fronts done. He's 3 and a half, 44 inches tall and has helped me quite a few times already. If i take the tire off he can point out the struts, brakes, rotor, axle, and tie rod. I pop the hood and he knows the engine, battery, transmission, and alternator. Here's some pics, but more in my thread:

Took the door panel off because my front speakers weren't working... Got the thing apart, fiddled with the wire, and now they both work. So the junkyard speakers never went in.
