What did you do to your Car today?

Those alignment packages are kinda stupid if you ask me. Either people buy them and use it like once or they buy them and want it checked monthly or every other month. Thats where it gets ****ing annoying as hell. They are never out when you check them that often and you'd have to do something serious to make go out of spec. It's always a waste of my time.

being ive had 4 alignments done since i got this car it would have been worth it to me at this point.

Honestly only reason I'm gonna get one is due to all the suspension stuff I'm into. Cool overs going on next weekend and rear coil overs next month. Be cheaper to get a 3 year alignment instead of pay for 3 separate ones.

Washed it after work today since I'll be away from the plant for maybe a day.
Put gas in it the other day.
And I also made a huge payment on it. So yay me.

Got Shadow all cleaned up, used ultimate compound on the hood followed by some wax, the hood looks so glassy now. I need to do the rest of the ride. Then I took her for a cruise to a car meet. Got to look at three INCREDIBLE Cadillac CTSV's.

How are you liking the car since you first bought it?
I really do like it. The worst mpgs I've pulled is 19 but 98% of the time I'm geting 21/22. So I can't complain. Really no different than the gp.

I'm really enjoying the space of the 4 door and bigger car in general.

Anyone know what kinda of camber, toe and all the other adjustments should be for the rear when I get the alignment.

I've barely looked at my car other than driving it the 4 miles to and from work recently. I don't even remember the last time I washed it, but it still looks surprisingly "cleanish."

Been piling the miles on the work truck though. 29k miles put on it in 27 weeks now. I changed the oil on it last Thursday and reset the trip when I did so. In 7 working days since then I put 2200 miles on it. I could have put another 100 on it today, but my brother went ahead and took the delivery to his customer himself since I already had 3 late nights this week.

thats how it was when i was driving all over the world in my pick up truck, oil change every month, and a tire rotation every other oil change. i was clearing 3,000 miles a month.

I'll easily clear 3000 by the end of next week, especially with it being the end of the month. I change the oil (or at least try to change it) every 5000 miles. I'll hit that by early November.

On that note I need to plan for an oil change on the car. I won't hit 5000 miles, but I'll be hitting 6 months since the last change come November 11. It's nice not putting 3000 miles a month on my car anymore.

Got around to wiring some led strips under the hood to serve as an minor work light

Like. I've been planning on this for a while, pretty soon the days will be short enough I won't see my car in the light of day. It's easy and cheap enough to do for fun imo. Underhood temps get high in the summer so the 3m adheasive they come with won't be enough. They may get yellowed, so we''ll see.

Planning on wrapping up my slow but sure retro project. The test run I did a few weeks ago showed the right headlight to be angled perfectly, but the left was off by a few degrees. The left side of the beam was a bit higher than the right. So I will see if there's any wiggle room for turning, if there is, I'll be all good to turn it and go for 1 last test. But knowing how much of a tight fit it is to get a mini h1 into a 97-03 housing, I may have to grind even more of the projector housing. I'm just worried I'll seal them all up and it end up being slightly crooked and it will annoy me.

Also, my high beam indicator stays on at half brightness even with the selection off. I already switched the two wires in the 9007 harness mentioned in the how to, which fixed a different issue I think. How do I fix that?
