• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Should have used the pry bar type spring compressor

there was not one to be found. so i was stuck with this thing. the fronts all came off 1,2,3. the rears, that damn thing popped off so many times i was sick. my back is killing me.

i was on the phone yapping with bill as 3 springs got changed lol hes like just tell them bill said "you have to come off" lol

i only dropped a valve lock 2 times, both fell in the head. ( i have sausage fingers) and once when the spring compressor popped off and i had one lock out already, found it in the oil puddle...

magnets, yo science b!tches!!!!!

I've used flat bar and crank style. I say crank style for the win. Flat bar ones are not for me. I did mention to Scotty that the one he has was the one that is tougher on your hands.

Dumb thing Greg used once in his life

I got the call early on. "Pushrods are loose, why, what the hell did Greg the ahole do to me?" My response "Did you start it and let the lifters pump up yet?, call me when you do."

Later.... "My back is killing me, Greg is a jerk and I hate him for making me do this". Funny part is when Greg and Scott hung out once upon a time, I made Scott do a tune up on a hot car while Greg "Pansy Hands" watched.

Even later I followed up..."Runs good, took the lifters a little bit to pump up and soak up the extra space"

ill just ad. Bills add lib-ing a lot lol i called no one names. but was sure nervous when 1/2 the set was loose.

Bullsheet... You said you were going to let Greg know that you appreciated the parts and being tortured for the day. Maybe you forget saying that, because you were hunting in oil for a lock at the time?

i did say something about someone getting punched lol

day after, MY BACK STILL HURTS! driving a roll off truck didnt help one bit.

Yeah I had a bar around from my days as a mechanic. So, i watched the vid to see if the bar would do well on my 3800.

check the fuse, then check the wires that plug into the seat under the seat.

if all that looks ok you may be able to spin the cable shaft by hand. if not you'll have to take the little motor off, or try running power to the motor?

and to get to the motor you'll have to take the seat out, two bolts in the rear of the seat, lift the back up, then pull up and back so the fronts unhook.

I had one small drop of oil under the GTP this morning. Probably from replacing the VC. I scrubbed the back of the block and the underside pretty good. Hopefully it will be dry tonight.

I had a P1441 code about 5 times today. Should I replace my gas cap ? The seal looks dry rotted.

I also need to replace some vac lines. One hose is dry rotted real bad and one of the plastic ones cracked and I spliced it with a piece of rubber tube.

She is running good. I easily could have made then longer. Lol
