• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

I reinstalled my other bumper along with my new headlights with clear corners. Then just because I was bored I took my old nasty headlights out and restored them to like new condition. All I used was I wetsanded with 1000 grit for a while then upped to 1500 and then with the help of a friend got them polished. We used a drill press that we had put a cutting pad on and used Plastx for the polish.

well last nights put new gauges in.....

spent most of the day at my friends house with him helping me change all 4 rotors and pads on his 06 3500 Chevy dump truck. we really both thought that the rotors would just slide off, but boy were we wrong.

we started on the rears, turns out we had to remove the axle (full floating rear end) pull a clip, then a keeper key way, then remove a castle nut of sorts, then the whole damn hub came off. then we had to pound out the studs to get the rotor off the hub.

the fronts had the same kind of hub extension that bolt through the rotor and to the hub, lots of big bolts to deal with.

we got one side done, tomorrow we wrap it up.

oh and i think i got the new big bad bake thread here :th_winking: dual piston front and rear on this truck too.

those shoes you see are the E brake, bigger than most cars with drum brakes.

I put LIM gaskets, supercharger gasket, valve cover gaskets, injector orings and new coolant elbows in last night. Found the stock supercharger gasket was blown out and leaking. The coolant orings and gasket around them were leaking coolant internally as well. Glad to get it all fixed.

got tired of having passengers.
so i took out all the seats except the one that matters.

why have 4 doors and only 1 seat? because racekarr.

I drove it to work. I love it when I get a chance to drive it. Still looking for someone nearby to do my rockers and springs. Test & Tune day is coming up.

Changed the O2 sensor which was throwing codes since I put the Pacesetters on...

When I took it out, it was dented (head) and looked like bad news. Don't know, maybe I dropped it when I did all the work or fried it with the RTV I used with the step band clamps?

New Denso sensor was $30 at Rock-Auto was a steal and well worth it.
All is good now, Code P1133 is gone and engine runs well.

:)
