Today was the GXP's first drive of more than a few miles in several weeks. I drove it across town to stop by a Barnes & Noble. I like to read Top Gear etc. It was very refreshing to see my average MPG skyrocket from 16.6 up to 21.3. I can be happy with that kindve MPG any day. =]
 
My passenger wiper blade decided to slip again, the splines are gone. Had to go out and try again, used some tin foil first and wrenched it down. I couldn't get the stupid thing off for like 10 minutes in the freezing windy cold, then I found a 2 arm puller and that worked. I also soaked everything in loc-tite, so we'll see tomorrow. From now on I''ll scrape the windshield and lift the wipers before using them in the winter... I usually test them with the engine off first since they're so much weaker without the alternator boosting the voltage, but when there's no splines left at all it doesn't take much.

I finally remembered to re-set mine...hoping for something better than 17.8

And used my pump sprayer to hose the salt residue down behind the headlights. Damn that thing is nice, one of the better $15.00 investments.
 


Oh, also I ordered one of those dorman hvac control knobs since mine broke on a really cold morning. It comes with 3 different ones for some reason so I can only use 1.

replaced both belts...slapped a new stock belt on after I went to a 3.6....started chirping...than slapped a GB 660 on that I had to wrestle to get on, actually stopped chirp @ first (so I know it's SC assembly), but now it's back annoying the p*ss outta me...
 
Today I drove it and enjoyed it, seems like it's been awhile lol. Tuesday I put in a 12 inch W3 and got my steering wheel controls to work. The stereo sounds amazing now, just have a few minor kinks to work out. Sound is there (I might upgrade the 6x9s soon), I just have some functionality problems. Here's the basic idea:

I'm toying around with the idea of putting in the headers and having a friend of mine weld on the Borlas this weekend, but I only have 1 day off and I need the car to go to work on Monday morning. That, and I just brought it up to my friend about an hour ago, lol.
