• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Changed the oil pressure switch. Once I got in there, it's pretty clear it's likely not the issue. Apparently there is a plug with a gasket to the right of there around that height. Perhaps that's the culprit.

Evidence of the hose from the top of the flame trap leaking at one point.

Next is brake hoses then oil pan and turbo drain seals. Sad part is, the oil level drops from full to ~4/5 full between oil changes, yet the pan will be dripping after 2000 km.

Probably take another year to finish cleaning up the carbon buildup as seen here:

Curious to see just how dirty or clean the oil pan is.

Gave it a full tank.

Last night though.. I found out something I wouldn't have expected. Toyotas with a full size spare have 5 tpms registered at one time. My other half had a low tire light on for a while. After filling/checking the tires plenty of times, I snagged my buddies SnapOn MODIS and asked the 4Runner what it's beef was with TPMS. Fourth wheel was at 20 psi, 1, 2, 3, and 5 are right at 30-32psi. Hmmm five wheels you say. Lowered the spare and used her little emergency pack compressor to pump it up. Happy 4 Runner!

My front head light is giving me issues. It will cut out and when i take out the assembly and i giggle the wires of the socket and it does nothing but soon as i turn it the quarter turn out of the assembly, it turn on and is fine. thoughts?

My uncle had that happen in his Tacoma. He was going mad trying to figure out why the tire sensor was still going off.

i had a turn bulb socket go bad, the metal wire inside the socket were broken, in return it was breaking the wire on the bulb and it would work as it saw fit.

Brought it home a friend... 99 GTP 220k can't complain one bit for Free. I don't know if I want to just part out or fix problems and dd it.

Let me know if you part it out, I'd buy that climate control thing off of ya...as long as the buttons aren't worn through like mine are.

Engine mount's are gone, lim is leaking, passenger's axle is broke, both front hub's, ebcm won't communicate, miss firing on all 3 cylinder's in rear head, HUD broken, soft squishy brake pedal. Either power steering pump and or rack have given up life. It has the typical strut tower/quarter panel rust. I'm sure there is more I haven't noticed or seen yet. I haven't lifted it to know how bad anything else is. I got home and it was in my driveway.

It was given to me as a driveable parts car. Trans has been gone through at some point (the case was painted). I may fix enough to sell it, I need to add up what part's will cost to decide to fix and flop or strip what I can use to scrap it.

The shop gave them $100 for it for a trade in. I got it handed to me with a clean title for spare parts or to flip.
