It's got a bunch of parts in it, it needs a starter solenoid and a battery, probably a fluids change, and it will hopefully start up with very little work.
Parked in 2011, last ran in 2014.
Idk how that's beat lol, automatics are faster because of consistency and lack of human error. Otherwise it's 305 vs 305 and they're both $400I got you beat on that. We got a 92 z28 with a 5 speed and a 5.0 for 400
Changed the S/C oil in the GTP, took out 2oz that were really dark, and it took 8oz to fill to the threads and it looked like it could take a little more.
If the previous owner ported it out would that make it take more oil? Iirc it should only take 6oz

Pics for sure. I am curious myself on what I might catch on the magnet. I plan on keeping an eye on it; hopefully it stays put.Haha nice! Interested in pics after some driving.
Something I noticed is that the reservoir is pretty shallow where the dipstick is, so the magnet cannot stick out very far. It also means the magnet being long can't possibly come out of the dipstick. But rtv and a sort of press fit won't let go.
I think they had a recall for the headlights because they did that. Not sure which all years it effected thoLets see over the last few days I did a few things. I had my issue with the HDM relay "failing" and having no low beams. As mentioned earlier I modified the high beam bulbs to twist into the low beam socket of the headlight so I could drive safe, and not blind oncoming drivers with just high beams. While under the hood I checked all my fluids. After 3000 miles on the oil its still in the cross hatch.
Yesterday I got a brand new Turtle Wax Black Box kit for FREE!
Today I ordered a BDW HDM relay from Advance and went and picked it up. I put the low beam bulbs back in their normal spot. Ironically the OEM HDM relay started working again. I went ahead and kept it in its place and put the the BDW in the glove box in case it happens again.
After I got home I took advantage of the 50* temperature and gave the car a quick and dirty hand wash. Didn't spend my usual time on it and wasn't as picky because there is a chance for snow in the next few days anyway. I just wanted to get the crud off.
I topped off the right rear tire which apparently has a slow leak around the bead. I need to stop at my buddy's shop and have him take it off the rim and clean the bead up for me to see if it helps.
Mine are 1/8"x 1/8", and the hole in the cap is a hair over 1/8". I used two magnets, the first one being more of an anchor for the exposed one. I put some silicone in the hole and let it set up a bit, then put more in and set the magnets. After the fact, I'd say a 3/16" magnet would have been a better choice.Looks like yours was a bit smaller in diameter, how did it fit? Like I had mentioned I drilled mine out carefully for the larger one I used and it fit very well
