What did you do to your car today? Vol 2.0

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Graduation and graduation party = money. More people you invite means more $$$.... So I guess you are all invited to mine;)

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

You graduated before there was an official monetary system.

:D

i guess so. and a party? a bunch of friends and 80% of the rest of the school hit the shore for the week right after graduation. that was my party. rent a hotel for a week, get kicked out on day 2, find new hotel, repeat lol

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

So uncool of me not to invite you all to mine :( PM me for an address you can send checks, cash, gifts to. Some here probably weren't born when I graduated, so don't feel too bad, I don't hold grudges.

scotty I knew when I saw the cinder block it wasn't you applying that mild steel bubble gum ha. It ought to stay if ya couldn't tear it off.

A guy I work with swears by alkaline water only for bugs. He says the pH of the water is all you need to adjust, no chemicals, just alkaline water a towel and finger pressure.

I get there with tap water and (kill me now) a microfiber mitt or towel to scrub bugs. Dad used the chrome-era bug scrubber sponges lol. Thats an interesting tip, I learned alkali runoff from certain soils can poison livestock watering holes from time to time. From the Lone Ranger. Bcuz class of '84, FTW!

My graduation wasn't even memorable. Just one keg at a rented fairgrounds spot, that didn't last long. College graduation party class before me got kicked out of that Bic lighter shaped thing in the Dallas skyline, a fancy hotel where they re stamp logos in the great big sand-filled ashtrays every few minutes. Ooh that smell by Skynrd sums that night up.

Ha! Just realized I said ashtrays in fancy hotel lobby. Not anymore!

You young men just graduating... I may want to be buried on Mars, make it possible!

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

its a c channel welded to some angle iron to take up the gap in the body there, so its welded inside and out and together. his welds have really improved over the last few projects and a good lesson from his brother. who im asking to weld my exhaust pipes up, he knows how to lay a bead real nice. he cut the floor and sides out of his old dump body and replaced all the metal over the winter. his welds look factory quality.

Oh my. Looks like that turd was leaking for awhile. Glad it finally got your attention lol. What da hey is that red stuff? Looks like playdough.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

The car sat for quite some time. Recently just got it out of storage and all spiffed up. FIgured the rear X over loosened up again and was leaking. So I drove it for a week or so... well I was WRONG about it being the rear Xover....

Red stuff is Ultra Copper high temp RTV... great for sealing up TOG Xtremes... f'ing ill fitting crappy headers...

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

My graduation party was epic. We actually had it over Memorial Day weekend so out of town family could join in on the festivities. Graduation wasn't until a week after. I was still 17 and I got absolutely hammered. I decided to challenge my cousin's husband to a shot for shot challenge.

We killed the whole bottom of Goldschlager in under 5 minutes. Neither of us won. LOL

I got a good amount of money. I lived off it for several months before I got a job.

Money definitely deserved. I just got a little nauseous just reading that...:th_sick1:

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Bought some 60# injectors and a Walbro. Put the injectors on and played around with the tuner. My 12+ degrees of false KR is gone.

The walbro probably goes on when I feel motivated to take the canister apart (not soon), for an eventual e85 conversion.

Smuts tune ftw

Diagnosed a sound I heard in the car once. Researched/called Jason, found out about service position. That's where you get the front of the car out a few inches to be able to work on the front of it.

Doesn't appear all that bad at all.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Found my leaks, oil pan and trans pan. I snugged up all the bolts on the trans pan so hopefully that stops that or I'll be doing a pan drop and shift kit. Got my bolt this morning put threadlocker on all the front bolts. Good thing i checked them because i could easily take them off with a 3/8 rachet. All is goos for now.

Othernews which engines did these come out of? I know they are l32 and l67 and I forgot to mark them before i put them in the box. I'm thinking right is the l32 and left is the l67.
