• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What are your other hobbies?

I do a lo t of mountain biking and wood working. The mountain biking I do every chance I get, especially i I can go do downhill riding.

Does complaining about cars count?

Seriously, though, I have a big ole stack of books I'm working on, that's sitting on my bedside table. Used to have about 20 books on that table, unread. I'm down to about 8 or so. Other than that, the usual stuff - golf, bowling, backyard football, screwing around at the mall with friends, etc. Pretty active in a church, too, with small groups and all that. It's where I've made most of my friends since moving here, actually.

I'm really big into hair and makeup but none of you would probably be interested in that.. :)I actually play pc and xbox games, too.

Besides keeping the cars from falling apart, I still enjoy riding my BMX bikes when I get the chance. It's relaxing to just disappear into the woods for a while and kill some trails. Used to race occasionally, but freestyle and dirt were more my things. Have way too much $$ tied up in multiple bikes, lol... Surprisingly the wife doesn't mind. Should probably sell some and pay some bills off. I'm not allowed to sell my Free Agent or Hutch Trickstar (per the wife). Not really going to argue with that one :th_winking:

I'm sure most people that see me riding are wondering why a 36 yr old is riding a "kids" bike. Little do they know that "kids" bike probably cost me more to build than their POS oil burning Honda they're driving around, lol... Old School forever!

I also enjoy playing my pinball and vintage pachinko machine when the weather sucks. With a house/wife/daughter there's too much overhead to have time/money for much else at this point. I play the "mechanic" role for friends/family as well so that takes up time. I like teaching my "brothers from another mother" how to fix stuff on their own. Not only do I like teaching them, it frees me up from having to fix every stupid thing that comes up. Of course now I only get calls when all hell has broke loose and they're completely screwed:th_laugh-lol3:

Cool stuff man!
Another old school BMX guy here who still loves to hit the trails from time to time.
Have a nicely built SE P.K. Ripper and SE Quadangle hanging from the ceiling two feet away from me as I type this.
:th_thumbsup-wink:

Question is, is this the old PK that liked to crack at the top post/seat post? Been there done that. Loved the frame but hated cracking it (twice). Never rode a Quad but always been a fan of those. I've got a couple rare frames laying around, a chrome LRV and a new in box Reynolds Racing "Puppy" F/F that come to mind. Was going to build up the Puppy but then Craig sold the business so it's an orphan now. A slew of old/mid school bikes/parts like Haro, Redline, Mongoose, 2 Hoffman Condors hanging around in various places in the garages. And of course my current ride the 87 Free Agent Limo layed out with all the goodies. My shins have the scars to prove it, lol...

Here's a prime example of one of my hobbies

Can halogen bulbs be converted to hid's? They're just arc lamps, I had to find out

So yeah it was just sarcasm lol, the answer would be no

I dont BMX anymore but I love riding my oldskool Ross CBC New York bike around, I do wheelies for blocks on it

Diggin the touch of red on that ride. I have an old Raleigh Chopper with a custom fork from a 10-speed and some ape-hangers on it that I ride occasionally. Still have to find a good 3-speed hub for it though. Gotta love a bike with a T-handle shifter :th_biggrin2:

Damn man that sounds sick! Got any pics? Im planning on hooking up a disc brake for the back of mine one day

Surprisingly I don't. Have pics of most of my other completes, but not that one. I'll get down to the other garage and grab some pics tomorrow. It's not as nice looking as most of my bikes but it's functional. Kinda like a survivor and resto-mod in one.

I thought about getting the Magura setup on one of my bikes but never shelled out the cash. Figured since my trusty old Dia-Compe Bulldog bites the chrome Super 7X's hard there wasn't enough need to justify it and after working in 2 different bike shops BITD these things were a b*tch to dial in. I'd go with a good U or V brake before messing with the hydraulics. Kinda hard to manual off a curb when the rear brake locks up the minute you touch the lever, lol...
