Weight Loss or Weight Gain Thread "2012"



You must board ? I was doing Couch 2 5k before i hurt my back. I'm working myself back into it. I'll start running again next week probably.
 
My life is more about practical muscle. I've known friends that went to the gym and they can curl/bench/push etc tons of weight. Ask them for a hand moving a 350lb arcade game and their muscle is totally useless. WTF? Other buddies that hit the gym have muscle they can use in everyday life and it's good. I aim for the useful.. not for looks only.


back in the day, roofing, the boss hired a few body builder types thinking they would be a good addition to the crew due to their size.

well there guys were useless after a hour of hard work, all shot to hell with dead arms.

the best working fairly built guy we ever had was a guy who just gout out of the service. this guy had it all muscle and endurance. to bad he was scared of heights, had to fire him lol

on the legs. i got huge ass calves, form all that ladder climbing with 100 plus lbs added to the clime. free stair master lol
 
I've always believed that if you run, you'll only die tired. But 5k's not too bad a distance, and definitely cheaper than a gym membership.
 
Ya i actually don't mind running now that i have kind of trained my lungs for it. I'm not fast by any means but its a good workout.
 


Bodybuilders are typically useless, with the exception of a few that bring the ruckus to powerlifting, like Stan Efferding.
 
I used to skateboard. Was in talks about being sponsored by Independent Trucks before i almost broke my neck. I have permanently skewed neck vertebrae now. Haven't truely skated in like 2 years. Every once in awhile i still go out and bust off some ollies and heelflips but nothing like what i used to do
 


Added 3.5 pounds in 6 days.
Seems legit.

Having trouble stretching shoulders lately lol the muscle stops me from moving them back all the way :p
 
Oh, I almost forgot to post results of my experiment.
I tried OxyElite Pro at 4 caps a day for two bottles. Didn't do much, if anything, to my bf%. The first dose seemed to wake me up a bit, and I think my sweat increased a bit, so maybe it would help polish off a bit if you're already <10% bf, but the effect was zero at ~25%.
Simultaneously, I took pretty large doses of Tonalin CLA (9,360g/day), which again, might polish an already lean physique, but did nothing for me.
 


Bad news coming for you kids short on cash and weight... Hope none of you are running into this. Gonna need to find a more expensive gym.

I need to get back in the groove. After hurting my back it doesn't take much to aggravate it. I've been yo-yoing on my weight so much lately it's terrible.
