• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Want to lower your car? Look in here!!

So I was trolling through this thread tonight, went through every page but didnt see a single write up/how to for actually installing the new struts and springs.

I think if someone were to put in a write up on the first page it could in some cases help people that are new to doing this sort of job on the car.

Just a thought.

The new Eibach springs say they're only a 1" drop. Do you still need to get the spacers? Or would just getting the new KYB struts and replacing all the rubber be enough? A lot of the people I've seen having to go crazy with mods are doing 1.5" or more drops. Is a 1" ok, or is it even worth it @ that point?

97 monte cut springs 5" drop 28k HARD miles same shocks cvs and motor mounts no issues no regrets :)

You did not get 5 inches of drop. There's barley 5 inches of travel in a standard w-body setup. And for you to say no issues yea OK. Your struts are blown and riding on spring and there's probably no bump stop

So i guess i cant read a tape measure then huh

He has SOME strut travel left...not much.

Stock struts have 7.25" of strut travel - 1" for bump stops - 5" = 1.25" of strut travel left.

1.25" of strut travel on stock struts with soft springs, you have to be hitting some bump stops.
