Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

VHT Nightshade

Well yeah u have plenty of clear coat on them so ur good there. Yeah use 2000 grit sandpaper, wet sand em for a while. Don't worry u won't hurt em. After u wet sand em use meguiars medium cut compound for a couple coats. Then finally use meguiars show car polish for a couple coats. Believe me,it will look fantastic. If u tint tails, you NEED to wet sand and buff em to get that good look. It needs to be done on plastic, metal or anything or else it will look kinda dull. Good luck bro

using a $12 can to tint tails will give you a $6 look. meaning half ass!

Then don't half ass it.

I tinted mine with VHT and they look great IMO.

Sure looks more like a professional $150 job to me.

JMO, the finish looks flat to me!

And you don't need to pay $150 for the right job, unless they need to remove the shiity VHT job!

4 days later and I guess you couldn't buy a $12 can.

LOL

Actually I did go buy a 11 dollar can and I have the tint applied but not the clear because I Know better than to spray when it is 95* with 85% humidity. As soon as I get a chance to go over to the booth and clear coat them you will be the first to know.:th_biggrin2:

Cant wait to see them

Man, if your going to be bashing the work that people have put into their cars because of a personal opinion, personally, I feel that you could take it elsewhere.

I've VHT'd my car, and ya, it looked a little flat because it was my first time doing anything custom. Regardless, I was able to fix it with patience, and now it looks awesome and I get compliments about it quite often.

If you don't like VHT you don't have too, but don't come on here to bash people's work.

Not bashing what so ever, just voicing my opinion

I've seen BOTH ways of tinting tail and VHT doesn't do it 4 me, JMO

Now try to remove the VHT if you don't like it the first time, GOOD LUCK!

i think l3enner is right - let the guy do what he wants to do.
I do agree opinions vary and im sure removing it is hard that fact has been made clear several times.
My question is why does everyone want to have the same tails? Everyone is tinting them.. it does look good, but tis not unique

see.. My car is black. so something like that for me.. would look like I had them tinted. unless I painted them a different color from the car. haha

I wish I'd have seen flips lights when I had my old Green grand prix though, definitely like the tails like that. Still don't think you'd find a nice looking set like that for an 04+ though.

This is the lights dry, just before I put them on the car.

I love the VHT. but again, to each their own.
