Hey all, The tranny on my 02 grand prix stripped the 4th gear shaft a while back & I can't afford to drop 2 grand on getting it rebuilt so I found a used one that has 95,000 on it for a good price at a local salvage yard. Is there anything I can do before I have it installed that will help extend the life of the tranny? I know the PCS is a common problem would it be wise to replace it now? Thanks
 


It'll shorten the shifts and the shorter the shifts the less slipping the clutches are doing. It'll def lengthen the life of any transmission.
