My Overkill did the sam thing got to 7. something at wide open on the highway. Mine will not do a case learn either
so your saying a good tune shoulda told the pcm not to disable injectors, and if i remember right your LTFT and wot was -5.4, and u said that means your running rich? and mine was +5.4, so im running lean, meaning less fuel? so would running richer help the kr stay down, would that also increase my timing? its at 14* at wot now.

i just had the batter disconnected for about 30 minutes last weekend, changing the spark plugs. should i do it again tho just to see if it changes? that was before i had this gauge.yes in pretty much every vender tune the first thing they usually do is turn off all of the injector cut offs. that is usually the first safety caution that any tuner would touch on.
also if your fuel trims are having a hard time locking in, you might want to reset the battery for 20-30 mins and let the fuel trims relearn.
you disconnect your battery to do the spark plugs?
gas doesnt explode or even burn. its the fumes that do.
ive zapped my self pretty good before and grounded out a battery this is why i will never work on a hybrid ill die
