Trunk wont pop and 6x9's Blown?

Alright, Just bought a 1999 Grand Prix GT. The 6"x9"'s in the rear are not putting out anything at all. And the truck wont open with the Glove Box button, Key Fobs, or with just the key. I'm trying to figure out if they're related or what? I was thinking fuse till the truck wouldn't open even with the key. So any advice on both? Any known wiring problems in the trunk?

Maybe!!..MAYBE a crossed wire might have blown out both, dont think so though, speakers were probably just blown out by the previous owner.. do a quick search on how to replace/remove the rear speakers (little bit of work) requires removing the back bench, which isnt that hard (done it 10X times) and while your at it, you can easily crawl into the trunk and have a look around to what might be the problem. May even be able to pop it open from there.

Idk if you guys have the emergency release for trunk, but make sure that opens up to rule out most mechanical issues. I'd get a voltmeter and start playing around.

Rear speakers on 97-03 GP's tend to die. Its a common problem. Dont waste your time chasing wires unless some punk kid put in an "awesome" walmart setup. But if its stock, yep, blown speakers.
