I don't know about carfax now but several years ago I bought a Dodge Ram 3500 off a guy and used carfax and it came back clean. Found out a few months later the truck had been used in commercial use. Complained to Carfax and within 90 days they cut me a check for 20k plus which was what I paid for the truck to begin with. Small price for big peace of mind on alarger purchase where the price doesn't seem right.

X2, that does not make much sence. I have never heard of that one. If they did, great, but they would go out of business if this was the case.
 


They did not pay me they reimbursed me the price I paid for the truck and took ownership of the truck since there service failed to show something it claimed to protect against. This was back in 05/06 and yes I did of course make a copy of the check but I moved to Florida about a year ago and have no clue as to where it is. There was more to it than me just complaining to them but that was me trying to not be long winded. I should have put more info in my post but tried to say that I have no idea if they operate the same way today as back then.
