Top swap pcm

SO im going to be doing a top swap soon and i realize that i will need a different pcm programming..whats the best way about doing this? I could get a pcm out of a GTP, but would that work w/ the l36 tranny? and the gearing is different so that would need to be changed. Does anybody have a custom tune for a top swap motor?
 


custom tune is pretty much the only way to go.......no tune in a can available for top swapped motors that I know of...
 
you need an l67 engine .bin combined with an l36 tranny .bin. any canned tune being used with a top swap will probably not work worth a damn.
 
when the top swap is done would it be possible to still drive the car w/ the supercharger on it w/o the tune just to get it to the tuning shop? or would it not even run...
 
it wouldnt run without at least tuning it for the right sized injectors. i also wouldnt think of running it with the belt on it without a nice amount of tuning work on it. that high compression can bite you in the ass really fast.
 


email intense and inquire, they do top-swap tunes. I got mine from them, just so i can drive around, I also run KR free.
 
I would just run the setup without the SC belt until you could get it to the shop. This would not hurt anything and you could slap the belt on it to tune it and you would be all set.......
 
Not if you don't have a tune already...the larger 33lb. injectors might not even let your car start without the correct fuel trims setup in the PCM tables.
 
Overkill is the only box tune I know of that will work with this. I'm personally getting mine custom-tuned though.
