top speed question

I have a stock 2006 grand prix supercharged engine. it's a canadian car so the speedo read's in kilometers, anyway i was on the highway and opened her up and the most it wold do is 180 to 185. shouldn't go to the 220 mark or does it sound like something is wrong. The only thing i have on the car is 18" wheels and a cold air intake and it has new plugs and wires.

its not hitting the limiter.....200kph is 120mph.

They all do, because of the tires that came on it from the factory. They tend to match the speed rating of the factory tires.

Anyone that tunes with HPT can remove that for you. So start calling shops that tune GM cars.

You can't tune 06+ cars with HPT, so that won't work.

my 98 gtp would go over 200 kph that's why i thought there might be something wrong with my 2006, like maybe a partially plugged cat

I just wanted to try it out, i don't drive fast all the time.lol but it just seemed odd that a supercharged can only go 185.
