TLSheff - Silver Sled

i hate mulch. i hate it so much. you have to get new stuff every year.

shoulda bought gravel..

Yea, we considered it, but GF wanted color, she liked the idea of red against the wood and conrete, so that's the way we went. Most likely next year when we have to redo it all I will talk her into gravel lol

What kind of beer is in the keg?
Now you need a nite shot with the globes lit up.
You look like Dave Chappelle!!

Beer, I wish. Keg would need to be bigger tho lol

Globes look nice when lit up, a couple need new batteries, a year in the elements will do that, when I get a chance I'll see if I can get a nice evening shot with them on.

Yea, I typed And I got some booty and that popped in my head, so I had to get that .gif file.

ROFLMAO ^ My thoughts exactly. But again... I like gettin booty, and a "Mah kar is more important" wouldn't get me anything but a camping trip to the garage.

But soon, I get pulley down, lower down, and well see from there. I wanted it all at once, but I'll have to piece it together. I wish someone local had a M90 pulley puller, so I wouldn't have to rent one, or buy one.

So enough of the flower bed and garden crap. ON TO THE GTP MODS!

well not really but sort of.

Cleaning the car over last weekend and pressure washer ruined the license plate cover. When I first bought the car, it had a big chunk knocked out (not sure how) and a huge scratch on it. Can't see in the pics, well the black spot in the original first shots is the chunk. So I fixed it up and had my buddy vinyl wrap it, had matching vinyl at the time and it was easier than spraying. 3 years later, comes apart under pressure wash. Sorry, no pics.

So I took it off, GF removed vinyl (she likes peeling **** lol) and I started the paint process. Went to local Oreillys, got the Silvermist matching paint, primer and went to town.
No sanded pics, it was black/silver/primer colored, use your imagination.

Painted a good couple layers on, after drying I went back and used a small brush and some satin black model paint for the lettering.
Could have been better, but I give no cares, from 2 feet away you don't notice the lines aren't perfect. Bite me if you get closer.

Still some imperfections in it, didn't notice until I cleared it, but it's good enough for me. Not a show car yet so doesn't have to be perfect.

We'll see how well it matches once its on the car, stay tuned!

Looks purdy!

Thank you. I like it. All excited to get it put back on, car looks funny with out or a plate there. Its just a hole basically lol.

Oh and Bill, the "soft warm" yellow light the girlfriend wanted in the dining room is what's casting that yellow look.

Under the LED flash, this is what it looks like. It does go really silver in the right light.

looks nice... and i strive for perfection in everything but with this.. its in the front of the car which mean its gonna hit rocks and all sorts of ****... looks real nice though! nice work.

Ya that's why I didn't push hard to fill in the chips and some knicks in the plastic. I know it will get banged up eventually, but when I does I can always sand and re-do. Just wanted it to be nice and it matches quite well.

I'll get some pics on the car later, its off, but close enough I give no cares. Good enough for me.

So you can see, there is a slight difference in shade. It's more noticeable at certain angles out in the sun, looks like the car has a darker tint coat on it as it changes color but the cover doesn't. I give no cares tho, it's pretty and matches well enough.

Age?

Faded?

On a 14 year old car with 115,000 miles?

Naaaaaaaa. Paints just a different color cuz GM trolls. :th_jester:
