• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

TLSheff - Silver Sled

No spacers on either wheels. The Drifters were a really high offset, like a +42/45 ish by my figures, they weren't as pulled in as the factory Crosslaces which are like a +52, but the Mille Miglias I have now are a +32 iirc and push much closer to the fender. The wheel is also a little wider, the Mille's are a 18x8 the Drifters were a 18x7.5

I really did like the Drifters, but would have needed a big spacer to get the flush look I wanted and would have just went with other wheels later down the road anyways. I'll probably still get another set of wheels later down the road assuming I keep the car and don't upgrade to a GTO like everyone else lol. I love the way these sit, but I want something with more concave and a bit of a lip. The spokes on these wheels actually sit out further than the tire tread does, so any rubbing hits wheel, before it hits tires... I don't like that.

Bump beaches!!!

So its been a while. Started up at another dealership in town, still GM. Old one got bought out and is shutting down, so I move where the money is. Time being I snapped a shot of the mileage... *milestone*

Now. I know it is at 123456.8(ish).... dam it to hell whoever put the bridge where .7 would have been. No shoulder and freeway traffic. Plus driving while taking a photo would have led to crash, so yea. YAY!!!!

But not to be outdone by all you young bucks with more money and time than you know what to do with. Its raining today. Good day to tear **** up!

I FINALLY started my project.

Oh noes... I broke it!!!

IMG_20131026_161910_zpse2ca0f41.jpg

Stay tuned. More to come!!! hehe

Yea its the typical P420. Its always on at random points and I just haven't cleared it. Lack of a CAT will do that. Need to get it tuned out at some point but w/e, doesn't affect the performance so meh.

I figured someone would mention it lol.

You'll need to give me a couple weeks. Not in a rush, spare (original) blower for the car, so I'm taking my time and letting my OCD nature be perfect.

So far got most of the corner down and rounded on one side. Still all rough cut, lots of fine work to do and of course the other side. This was as of last night when I stopped because the Dremel was getting hot.

Again, all rough cut, still got work to do. Its a day by day when I get a chance project. Once done it will be painted and then rebuilt. Then I get to work on the Rocker Covers.

Sort of. Will slap it on when I get it put back together. I figure before Christmas it all should be done and installed. Luckily I have a garage so it won't be so cold to do it all in. Want smoothed valve covers, and blower painted with Black Wrinkle paint. Ported blower with new seals and a 3.4/3.5 MPS on it. Then getting a better tune.

Holy Cow. Yea, alot of trolololol 'ing has come with those, but mostly good info passed on from others through me. I have done what I can and goofed off the rest of the time. Closing in on 4 years on this forum as well. Been a long journey and I have enjoyed it so!!!

My God. Its been a year and I still haven't finished that dam blower. What the hell happened to the time??? Too many side projects and friends needing work on their cars...

BUT I GOTS NEW SHOES!!! An unfortunate incident between my car and this evil vengeful ninja pothole that came out of nowhere left me with my lovely Mille Miglia HT3s being bent and knots on the tires. I sent them off to get repaired and ordered new tires, but alas, not repairable, bends were too bad. So upgrades were made... I could have done so much with the car for what the wheels are tires are going to cost me... o well, only money. :th_depressed:

Anywho, some timeline shots, those of who are on the Facebook likely already know but, I keep getting stalker emails about not posting on the boards so here is a worthwhile update.

Tires came in, so purty 245/45/18 Continental DWS Extreme Contact Pro. Solid Z-Rated all season tire as the GTP is my daily when I don't take the bike.

Ordered on 9/22 came in the next day... finally installed yesterday :th_angry2:

Wheels were ordered on the same day, got lost, had a duplicate order placed when we called to find out where they were after a week of waiting... got the 1st set in on 10/3 pushing 2 weeks, with one dropped box and bent wheel inside. That was fun. I didn't even notice, got lucky that particular wheel was the one I chose to test fit and make sure it bolted to the car to my liking before tires were mounted and balanced.

Wheels are the Konig Deception 18x9 +35mm offset Fitment is just perfect, could use some spacers for the rear to flush it out just a bit more, but I'll get to that later.

Do you see the spot???

20141003_145123.jpg

It's right there.... I didn't even notice it, our Lube Tech's noticed it. I was infuriated.

:th_exploding:

Bad part is they look soooo good and now I'd have to wait even longer to get a replacement in! So mad. So very very mad.

Solid spacing, nice and flush on the front. Not that hella-flush kinda flush, but good and aggressive looking.

Speaking of aggressive, see that *****-ass corvette trying to photo-bomb my pictures? Always showing their asses those corvettes.

20141003_145225.jpg

Aaaaand that concave'ness... ugh... love them.

20141003_131959.jpg

But I had to wait. Until yesterday, when complete cock-up shipment #2 of 4 wheels shows up.

ROFL - ROFLMAO
:th_dancingsmilie: Woot Woot

:th_dancingbanana: Some dancing involved.

:th_sign-partytime:

I even had spares to play with, LOL So they were Mounted & Balanced and once home I took some quick pics in the garage after I bolted them up. Good photos will happen this weekend after a nice bath so she's picture worthy. But until then.

My baby, the Fiancee's FRS outside, and the Yamaha FZ6-R commuter toy.

Again, I know, needs more low, a new spoiler (SOON) and some other stuff, hopefully will get done so I don't go another year without adding to this thing.

Does look mighty fine.
Just last night I was thinking a 9 inch wheel would have been better than 8 for mine.
That 35 offset and 9" wheel is magic.

Cheff, roommate. Good to see you posting on here again!

I saw this on facebook, and man-oh-man these sure do look good. Great choice on wheels/tires.

Next summer I'll be purchasing 18x9 +35 Saleen rims with 245/45 tires. Literally the exact same size you have on everything, so your car gives me a perfect look on what mine will someday.
