tires for stock wheels?

so i decided that the only light wheel i can afford is my stock torquestars! and ive decided to take the bullitts off the car and give them to a friend as good as they looked, i needed a lighter wheel. ive decided to get the stock ones powdercoated gloss black. and to put chrome lug nuts on so it breaks up the color nicely, no spray can **** either for the paint. im gettin it done right. i also have two extra tqstars to mount slicks on eventually now too.

now my thing is that when i wear down these tires im gonna want some nice performance street tires for the stock 16's. anyone know any good ones? and what is the widest tire i can run on the stockers with no issues? because i feel like the 225's are WAY too skinny... any help is appreciated. thanks all

you can run 245s on the stock wheels, but a lot of people would recommend against it since they are fairly stretched. i ran a set and never had any issues. i enjoy taking corners as well as going straight, so i can say i tested them pretty well.

oh nevermind thats the right size. figured out that it goes by ratio i always thoght that was the thickness in millimeters but nevermind thats the right one

no, the right size is 245/50/16. i ran falken FK452's on my 19s and thought they were a nice tire. they were quiet, but i think they wear pretty quickly.

yea ive been looking at the falkens and the firestone firehawk wide ovals seem to have gotten really good reviews. its not gonna happen until i need new tires though which wont be for a while... cant wait to powdercoat the wheels already come springtime
