Tire Searching (Give ur opinion)

I went to tirerack and did some research and am going for the Continental ExtremeContact DWS 225/55ZR16. They did very well in the snow and are $101 a piece so I will cough up a lil extra for safety. Broadview gets alot of snow so it suits my situaton very well. Thx for helpin' I always can depend on Grand prix Owners haha :th_dancingsmilie:

why are you going with a shorter tire than stock? its gonna look stupid.

get the right size: 225/60R16.

im not saying you cant run those, but its gonna give you more wheel gap, your car will be lowered slightly, and your speedo will be off.

No no no, your right it will look dumb. But also I replacing struts and springs in september as well. I am going with Vogtland sport lowering springs and KYB GR-2 replacement Struts for a little drop. And going through Vinnie for spacers to fix the geometry :)

Well, the price went up on the Grids as soon as the month changed (at local Firestone where I can use credit and not pay for them for 6 months :) ), so now they are the same price as the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Positions.... so those are going on tomorrow, if I get off work in time to make it to the tire shop before they close.

...they were closed today :(

Supposed to be an awesome tire!

bfg traction t/a's is what i'm going with in a few weeks!
I know this thread is dead. But I have to say. If you ever tried the BFG Traction T/A, you would never go back to anything else. They grip great in the snow, and handle great on dry pavement. And they are so good in the rain, you can see the water shooting out from either side of the car. I stumbled on them in 05. Liked them so much, my wife put them on her car, and then her mother put them on her car. And since they both bought new cars, both cars got the BFGs as well. An now my car will have a set soon too.:)

I had thought about the Nexen 5000, but am pleased that I used these Avengers, instead. They're doing well, so far, although, we really have not had any significant snow yet here in central Ohio. Only BFGs I have had for snow is All Terrain T/A KO on my wife's Suburban, but they've worn horribly and I won't buy another set. Their passenger line might be better, though.

Im going with a Toyo Extensa A/S. Got them for 120 a peice and that includes stems, mounting and balancing so for 2 im looking at 240 out the door total and I have done reviews on them and they seem to perform well and I have been recommended by friends to try them and my dad has toyos on his CK1500 Z71 and loves em. Getting em on tomorrow so hopefully I will not be dissapointed.
