Tire Recommendations

So i am picking up some 18" eagle 077's this weekend and am kind of looking for some guideline on what kind of tires to get, hoping someonw on here could give me some incite on what good and what isn't

You probably need to decide wether you are looking for a "Summer" tire or an "All Season" tire? You going to be dealing with snow with these, are you going to be switching to some type of snow tire in the winter, you won't be dealing with snow/ice at all? That will help narrow down decisions and suggestions.

well i am just looking for some summer time performance tires, i am going to keep my stock rims which have all season on them and use those for the winter, i also know that i am going to go with 245/45/r18 but i just don't know which tire's would be best and for a good price

yea i was looking at those and they seem to have a good rating also but they aren't exactly $72 for the size i am looking for more along the lines of $158 a pop for the 245/45 18's but i don't think $158 is to bad of a price

I used to run Continental ContiExtremeContact and just recently switched to Michelin Pilot Sport A/S all seasons on my GP, but I run the BFGoodrich G-Force tires on my Toyota Supra, which are strictly summer performance tires, and absolutely love them! Can't beat the dry pavement traction and they surprised me how good they were in the rain! Huge BFG fan for summer and track tires, might be a bit pricey but I think you would be happy with them?!?! See the link below for more info:

i run contiextremecontact as well, like the tire, but not great for any kind of tread life. i got them about 8 mos ago and they're near the wear bars already. i'd go with a more conventional all season tire so you dont have to buy tires every year. lol

I have Kumho Ecsta SPT, which are f'ing awesome in the rain. Little noisy, but coverd up by exhaust. Had'em for 2 summers now (unknown mileage), but you can still read ecsta on the tire tread. They were only $84 when I bought'em but know there $117. 245-45-17

my ecsta stamps on my spt's were gone off the front in a day :) rears are still holding up after 6 months. traction is awesome though.

x2 on the nitto 555's i have them on my mustang and they hook great at the track and for driving. gonna be putting them on the gtp soon
