tint ticket question

If I were to drive through the US from Canada and got a tint ticket when would I have to pay it? Would I be stopped at the border back into Canada until its taken care of? Same with no front plate for that matter. Honestly why does this vary?

I dont understand how you can get a ticket when your a "out of towner". So if I wanted to drive across country id have to rip this off and put this on to comply with each states laws as I pass through? BULL

They will let you go if they see the vehicle is from out of state/country. If you did somehow get the biggest prick of a cop, traffic violations are not reported to the border patrol.

^pretty much. but they CAN give you a ticket because "you have to be aware of the laws in which ever state you travel" <-exact words a cop told me once. and like keith said it wont be reported to the candian border, but if you return to that state you could have problems.

edit- i would say you would have about a 80% chance of the cop letting you off the hook, since your from out of town.

No front plate is void. If Canadabob doesn't require a front plate, then you don't need one. Kansas is one of I believe eight that you do not need a front tag. They can't do jack crap about it since my state doesn't require a front plate.

the problem with this is that i just cant get pulled over in general. i sometimes 'have fun' while im on long road trips and getting pulled over at all is bad news bears. i run a front plate, stay within a reasonable speed to the limit, and my car isnt even tinted. i hope to tint it soon, but i think im just going with 35% for a lighter, nice looking tint that i wont get hassled for.

Super cool first gen Adam guy got two tint tickets on the way to the Iowa meet last year...in Iowa. lul.

i never had a problem, have gone down to myrtle beach and hay bay numerous times not that far with the gp, but in an suv with dark tints

in case it's not known, Vans and Suv's are treated different than cars when it comes to tint in a lot of places. just a fyi
