Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Throwing codes

So, before my son left for his girlfriend's, I took another code reading. No CE light, just told the scangauge (I love that thing) to read the codes.......

Stay tuned for a lovely video featuring this gauge reading misfires.......
P0243 - Turbocharger Wastegate Solenoid 1 -you don't need to worry about that, boost bypass for s/c is gone
P1653 - Oil Level Lamp Control Circuit- maybe didn't get connected properly after installing turbo oil feed there?
P1133 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Insufficient Switching Bank 1 Sensor 1- I'd say either the o2 sensor(Bank1) is bad/not plugged in properly or a issue with the pigtail from the wire harness to the o2 sensor

Po243.......Excellent!

P1653......The plug for the oil level sensor is hanging by the pan, and the sensor is gone, so, I'm guessing THAT's the problem.......

P1133......I'll be trying a new o2 sensor next week.......Thanks! Video (a world premier) is on the way.......

http://www.gmforum.com/2000-2005-90/error-code-help-p1133-289833/ good post on the p1133 code. try plugging in the upper o2, maybe its not deleted? that code leads to it.

http://www.carobdcodes.com/pontiac-p1563-system-voltage-bank-2.shtml the p1563 looks to be the rear o2 acting up. maybe bad.

and the last one is a wastegate code, dont know what to tell ya on that one being its turbo.

The main Bank 1 narrow band 02 is not deleted Scotty, only thing different is the location. I'ts in the upper downpipe behind the turbo now, confusing part is the old Bank one narrow band o2 was left in the stock location in the rear manifold when the turbo swap was done. Looks to me from the code either the main o2 is bad or still unplugged?
The one other code was a P1653(Oil Level Lamp Control Circuit) not a P1563
The P0243 is for the missing s/c boost bypass that he dosen't have/need anymore.

im a learning still about the turbo set ups.

im good at switching a nunber around here and there too lol
I'm still learning about...everything :th_winking: even at my old age LOL
Went through the same process with mine when I got it!
Why is this unplugged, why is the IAT dangling in the engine bay and so on and so on LOL

So what did you do to make the others dissapear lol

Hey, thanks. the hose on that breather came off while my son was driving it...must have run pretty bad....another bad plumbing job now fixed.

Don't worry about the code 1133, it's a very common code when people install headers.

In your case it's a turbo, but pretty much the same thing.

I had the code for a month or so and then it just stopped showing up, it never would trip the SES light either, just in the pending history codes.
