• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Throttle Body Screen Removal

FWIW if you are looking for someone that did it.. I pulled the screen at one point on my Bonnie while it was stock for the most part. Found it felt like a lot more power, ended up being the maf not reading properly and the engine was running scary lean. Luckily I was watching things and got it back in.

Most of the time you notice things leaning out from pulling it. I doubt it's that much increased airflow and moreso the lack of good readings.

Makes sense. Thanks Bill

And thanks for all the responses. I am convinced (to leave it in)

read the dam links I posted, people cant comment on saxon hc when then dont run it or have enough knowledge on it or exactly how it works.

Like said.. I've never run anything but a stock screen. No info about Sax's.. defer questions to the guy that used it ... He likes it

I had mine out for a while and was learning to tune with the dhp concurrently. I had a really hard time getting my maf dialed in, which could have been the tuning learning curve and my own failure. I sold the dhp and bought an hp tuner and overkill started tuning. the maf would get close but would never come in until I put the honeycomb back in. making maf adjustments now usually is very rapid and comes in within 2 or 3 adjustments, not like before where overkill made like 8 adjustments, and never coming in to where it should have been.

edit: I know it's an old post, just wanted to share my .02.
