Thoughts on Cobalt SS.



My friends 99 gtp walked all over his cousins sc ss and supposedly it had nasty tq steer...I have never heard anything bad about them though...I would get one over alot of other 4cyl turbo cars only because of the cheaper price tag
 
I have a 06 ss/sc. i ran a 13.8 @ 105 with crappy tires and an epicly slow 60 ft. That was with a stock airbox! Its faster now........just lost interest in running it. Either way, its intercooled which is a plus.

i would recommend keeping the stock exhaust, if anything its 2.5 all the way back up till the axle which necks down to 2.25. replace that section and your golden. or change to a lnf catback and switch flanges.

zzp and ottp make some good stage kits.

run e85? get some 80s and pulley down toa 2.8. anything smaller and you get basically just torque gains.

handle great.

remove the rear wing.......i hated mine so i went with a ls trunk.

If a Cobalt SS happens to make an appearance in the episode (in the background or something) I am so going laugh because of this thread.
