• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Think I got a chance?

Buddy of mine is finishing his car...

Oldsmobile aurora, v8 engine from Cadillac northstar, straight glass packs, intake. Pushing about 330whp

Me, 07 GXP, intake exhaust. Pushing about 330 as well (not tested, but hoping that's what I'm at, no chance to hit dyno)

1/4 mile on the track, then more fun after, think he has a better shot?

No.

He isn't making 330WHP.

Your not making 330 either.

I/E GXP is around 260-270 to the wheels.

You'd win...but...just go race him. Because...what's the fun in racing if you already know the outcome.

Sure...to the crank.

Which isn't WHP...like you were talking...and they normally make about 50 less to the tire.

Mine did 230 on a Mustang dyno after tuning...CAI, but stock exhaust

230 x 1.16 = 266.8 approx. dynojet translation. Sounds about right.

You'll beat the aurora it's only 250hp at the crank if its a 95-99. I'm not sure what the newer one's put out but it's not anywhere close to 330.

Aurora was like 300 or 400 lbs more in weight to with the northstar...er' something close to that. Youll launch way quicker with the low end torque I would wager.

They are very slow cars. My buddy has one with the v8 and its quick but not fast. Im neck to neck with him everytime. In your gxp you should smoke. I never knew they were putting out 300hp?
