This isnt going to be a techinal teardown because there are many really good one's already out there,but who knows maybe i will stuble upon a problem that nobody has encountered yet and we'll all learn something from it.As some of you already know, my transmission bit the dust a cupple days ago.And i didn't know if anyone would like to follow along with this or not so i said what the heck.I have purchased a triple edge performance tranny with 3.29 gears. Intense input shaft, along with a 7/8's chain.That transmission should be shipping out today-6/12/08 and should take around 4 days to get to me.


I have also ordered 42.5's along with an lq4 maf setup because maxing out the stock maf and injectors is not to far away with my setup.The xp cam is on the way also and will be installing that when the motor comes out.This is my daily driver but i am also going to be taking my time doing this to ensure nothing goes wrong....with that said i'll bring on the pics...


I don't have a garage so i kind of made one.It is hot here and working in the sun is not an option lol

Headers main harness and prety much everything that is conected from the motor to the car has been disconected.

thanks...and yeah i saw tripple digits the other day on my climate control (outside temp displayed inside the car)...and it looked funny...i was like what the hell?? it's 103?
 


Well sorry for not updating latley, got the engine out transmission is still in.I am awaiting the arrivial of my new transmission from dave (should be here this week) and also my cam springs and retainers and other misc gaskets.I did get in my new lq4 maf along with my injectors and some other gaskets.

Usually when someone does a swap, when they have the motor out they climb inside and take a pic inside the engine bay, well, when we did my regal all of us got in....

I have two empty engine bays to get pics in later today! LOL. Always wanted my own goofy GP engine bay pic. I guess about time after almost a decade with the 97-03s.

Good luck with the continued outdoor swap. I'd have killed all the grass by now. Glad the wife has been gracious and understanding enough to let me take over her bay as well.
 
hey what do you guys think about me doing a cam swap tech bulliten with the engine being out?
