• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I drove by at 2:30..... didnt see anyone there except for a bronzmst gp parked out front.... so I didnt stop.

hadI known you were there Billy I would have stopped.
 


I parked on the IHOP side of the lot, not the BestBuy side

I'm on RockfordRacing, ChicagoGarage, GPONA, Got3800,... Anywhere beside ClubGP I guess...
If an other site would add something like they have to support my "Mod List" I could delete my acct there as a whole
 
Well like I said, i probably wouldnt have show up and I didn't, although I wanted... See I didnt miss anything.

i guess it isnt new...for evryone around here...but i thought that people gave a shyt...i happen to like my car and i thought a few other people did too..is this how is always is? no one ever shows up?

it just shocks me to see that no one cares...i thought this site/forum was for enthusiasts of gp's? and i put a question mark for many reasons. i was excited to have found this place and was even more excited to see that people were willing to meet up and talk. had i not had major surgery two weeks prior to all of this i would have been there. but i could not come alone and my shot gun bailed on me at the last min..which wont be forgiven..but i would have driven the almost 2 hours just so i could have met someone with a common interest, a common ground..and if i would have made it i would have been devastated to see that no one showed. im actually thankfull that i didnt make it...i actually care about all of this car stuff..and i thought everyone else did too.

I'm the guy that will start a convo in a parking lot, in the blowing snow about my car...
I had business cards printed out so I could leave them on a nice GP or hand them to someone I didn't have time to talk to...
And yes, I was looking forward to meeting "like minded" people to BS for a few hrs over wings & beer...

 


And trust me if we dindnt like our cars we woundnt be putting much money in them and on this fourm that event just had a bad turn out, we just need to spread the word more next time maybe over several web sites
 
Sorry guys....I would have liked to have come, it is just to busy this time of year for me. But atleast I was up front about it and said I wasnt coming. There is nothing worse than people saying they are going and then having a lack of communication.
Call me old fashioned, but that is just rude and inconsiderate of others. Sorry about what happened FastKatt....count on seeing me and my car sometime in the future. And Reena if it takes you two hours to get to Rockford from Madison, my grandma would have passed you walking with her walker on the way there. Get the lead foot mod ASAP....ha ha.

YES. I hate that. For example:
**** **** **** **** ****.
That would not be a cluster of stars on TGC :p
Or all the threads that locked because some people were arguing, or said something a mod didn't like.
But still, I like this place, so I stick around.

I would have been looking up names in the phone book if I drove hours to get there!

I wanted to show up to a meet this spring down there but after this I'm scared to now.
 
Next meet Im there for sure. I was gonna go too, arround 1 pm i was checking my account to see if I have enough money. Rockford IS pretty far away (about an hour drive for me one way), so I had to get gas. Something came up, decided not to - didnt promise but still... Shouldhave showed up. Another try maybe?
