• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

When breaking in dads clutch on his truck the instructions said to drive around for a while to warm the clutch up then find a hill and put it in a high gear going around 35 and push the gas hard until its up to speed.

I don't dare try that. LOL I can get it to slip without boost...so basically think N/A 3800 causing a clutch to slip with all the "torque" it puts out. LMAO

who says my parts are the problem, i had nothing to do with that trans lol.

Jasons xp cam wasnt mine or claudios so i dont know what to tell ya, and i didnt know frankie had all sorts of parts problems too lol.

oh most of his engine stuff is from me, its helping pay for my paint job :D but i have nothing to do with the trans.

My clutch is slipping too, not too bad though, only if I give it the beans. It's a SPEC stage 2+. Only have about 200 miles on it so far. It was chattery at first but that seems to be settling down. So maybe it will grab better when its broken in.

Oh man, that sucks!

Mine's making lots of noises as well but I hear that's normal for a 284. I wouldn't know, as this is the only 284 car I've driven. The only problem with my trans is that it grinds into 3rd if I don't double clutch and rev match. I think the syncro for 3rd is going, but it still goes into 3rd and drives well.

Someone on NAIOA mentioned that gears/syncro's from a F23 might work. Anyone ever heard of that?

Mine sounds like that too.. I'll have to check if the knock sensors are picking it up though.

Kind of sounds like something's rattling in the dash from vibrations.
