The Hobo G35, now with retrofits

Re: The quest of a hobo that owns a g35.

So the time has come to pull my fenders. A bit nervous but I want the front lower and the rear. So Imma take the plunge Tomor. It's a car competition in the city coming up called "whip wars" i just entered into. It's in June so let's see how the car fares against the other city folk. If you know anything about the Dmv it's all about big chrome rims and loud speakers and bright flashy lights. Smh. Not to much of a scene for my car but let's see if I can change that.

So what's left is,

Retrofits
Fender roll and pull
Audio (custom box in the trunk)
Engine aesthetics (strut bar and maybe a powder coated plenum)

Am I missing anything?

Re: The quest of a hobo that owns a g35.

use a roller to pull them. it's not that hard, i just don't like to. when you pull them too far then they look stupid.

Re: The quest of a hobo that owns a g35.

Make sure to use a heat gun so the paint don't crack. Not to much heat though, don't want to burn the paint either.

Re: The quest of a hobo that owns a g35.

No updates really. Been to busy lately. Snapped a pic yesterday

Retro parts are waiting to be installed but the halos haven't arrived yet so I'm just waiting.....

Re: The quest of a hobo that owns a g35.

all you guys are wussies for not wanting to lower your car. it looks and handles way better. i'm not telling you to slam it because that introduces other obstacles, but just lowering the car a couple inches is always a positive thing.

Is any wheel gap acceptable?

Re: The quest of a hobo that owns a g35.

I lowered mine a bit on Vogtlands, but not that much. I drive on dirt roads on a regular basis, and the road in Ava just plain suck. My wife drives alright, I guess. It's more how ****ty all the entrances to everywhere are and the roads in general.

Re: The quest of a hobo that owns a g35.

So I'm still waiting for the halos and it's starting to annoy me. So tommorow I'm starting the retros without the rings. I'll just open them back up when they arrive
