The G8 - Post #85 New Rims

Re: The G8 - Post #49 - 8/21

Thank you xD

It was hosted by "Capitol City Rockets" so there were definitely plenty of gorgeous 4-4-2's there. Including a W-31 :)

Re: The G8 - Post #49 - 8/21

Another batch of pictures, including my shift boot I purchased from Redline. Throws quite a few people off ;)

Re: The G8 - Post #62 - Pre-Fall pictures

Why no front plate on the G8??..lol

Glad it doesnt have one tho. Looks so much better without

Re: The G8 - Post #62 - Pre-Fall pictures

Thanks, Stryker Blue is my favorite ;)

As for the no front tag. 'Cause I'm a law-breaking maverick ;) Nah, I just had my bumper painted and had no desire to put it back on. Even if VA requires it lol. My sedan doesn't have one either.

Re: The G8 - Post #62 - Pre-Fall pictures

My pictures are tagged with "Dun Horse Photography" the others were taken by the hubby. All edited by me :) My husband has a UV filter which really adds some vibrant colors that my Nikon doesn't. I've got the filter too, but was too lazy to use it :P

These were taken today:

Re: The G8 - Post #68 2013 Shots

Love the front bumper and the spoiler ! nice nice nice :)

that single rear shot is kinda a tease ................

Re: The G8 - Post #68 2013 Shots

Yeah I was getting shots for my show board so it got loved up in the front. I have one rear shot (plus the spoiler) and that was it :X... It goes into "storage" for a few months and I'll be bringing the Sedan back out for awhile.

The front bumper was installed last week after hunting for one for months. It was a refurb, but cheaper than anything I had yet to find.

What are the next plans for the car? It's looking tits! Surprised you are about to store it when show season is about to hit full swing.

Re: The G8 - Post #68 2013 Shots

You should have gotten a drift shot as well as the body roll. I know that 6.0 would break it loose if asked nicely.

Thank you so much!

Well it'll only stay in storage to avoid it being a daily for a little while. It's been the husband and I's daily for the last year and it's time for it to take a break from the weekly grind. I do plan to take it out on the weekends though for the shows :)

As for plans, I'm probably done... As much as I'd love to put a lopey cam in it or supercharge it, it's just so darn expensive... 'Course we've been keeping an eye out for an ls3 manual to swap into it... Which I would absolutely love ;) Otherwise, it's done for the time being. Financially for the most part.

What's it run in the 1/4?

Not sure, we don't have a 1/4 track where I live (yet) There is to be one in the Spring of 2014 though...

With those knuckle dragging Camaro rims on it (excessive weight really) it ran a 8.409 at 86.56mph on the 1/8.

He joked about that later, but he's not as confident to be rough with my cars as he is with his hehe...

Re: The G8 - Post #68 2013 Shots

That 1/8th mile is not too bad, im sure she would pick up on the top end in the 1/4 ;)

Re: The G8 - Post #68 2013 Shots

I'm anxious to see what numbers it'll show :) I bought some 17" Kv5's that weigh "next to nothing" compared to the Camaro rims that I plan to run with when I get tires. Only problem is the offset isn't perfect so the poor G8 will have some rooster-tail "stance" lol...

Picked this up today. Same guy who painted the nose did my engine cover. Not bad for $50 :)

I hate engine covers but that is clean. Classy but custom. Now get a shot with it on.

I ttend to agree the majority of the time with this comment. But if there's not a blower under the hood then I'm all for covers.
