Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

The FWD Cobra: Just one more thing then the MG gets all the attention

Re: The FWD Cobra

It's more like how lazy am I lol.

I'll have nothing to do since I get a 4 day weekend this week so I'll probably get around to it.

Re: The FWD Cobra

Made some progress today, since I'm sick this is going a little slower than I wanted to. The heads and valvetrain are bolted in, intake and one of the valve covers are painted. Hopefully tomorrow I can finish assembly of the new motor and get the old one out.

Also, this MPS is not going to come off, I was bending the puller...So it looks like im stuck with this 3.6" for now. Best ides obviously scanning, could I run this pulley y'all t think?

Wow... talk about seized. Why can't you just keep the MPS and just order the right sized pulley you need???

Looks good btw... keep it coming.

I have ordered a 3.8 pulley, the idea was to use the stock pulley since it would've been free. I'lljust have to run the 3.6 until the 3.8 comes in.

I've almost gotten everything hooked back up so it should be running by tonight is everything goes good. The thing that is going to be a ***** is getting this rear knock sensor hooked back up, you can't get your hand in there to save your life...

She fires up! The lifters are super noisy, I'm assuming this will go away with letting them get some oil in there

Re: The FWD Cobra

The motor is in and running smoothly with a 3.8" pulley. Getting it tuned and have a slight bit of knock, ive only seen 1* so far so I'm going to back the timing down to 15* I think which sucks. I'm looking at some meth kits now so I can get some umph out of this thing instead of feeling gutless like it is.

Re: The FWD Cobra

wait...why are you knocking on a 3.8 pulley? it is top swapped, but you didn't do a stock setup.....

Re: The FWD Cobra

Top swapped, 1.84 rockers, plog/dp, prted blower. Running 11.0 AFR at WOT 16* of timing I believel I'm going to work with the tune a little more. I did have the DHP tranny tables but I had false knock out the wazoo' back to stock and it was gone...

Re: The FWD Cobra

I'll be looking at some LED tails in the future, so the question is do I get the red or smoke tails? I also want to grab some of those new GPO grills since I'll have my car paid off this month, got to love that tax return!

Re: The FWD Cobra

looking through this build is making me wanna do a build myself...

hmmm one of these days... one of these days.. :th_eyesrolling:

I'm actually from Tally, I lived at home till about 2 years ago, they live out halfway to Monticello, I lived off Ocala for a year and a half, now I'm off of Blountstown Hwy off of Tennessee. I've been working in Innovation Park the last 5 and a half years.

I did have another GP guy waving me down in traffic asking me what I had done to the car a year ago...that wasn't you was it? Lol
