Ok well a little history on the car. When i first bought it whenever i used the heat or ac it never worked on 1 or 2 but 3 4 and 5 work no problem. Last night i put the heat on and it was on 3 and my headlights turned off:confused: I flipped the dial to off and they came back on. I tried putting it on 4 and the same thing happened. This time i tried turning to 5 and headlights came back on and heat was blowing out fine.

Wtf could be causing the headlights to turn off when i put it to 3 and 4?

ignition, it has all sorts of things ran through it. If it was just the fan I would suspect the blower motor resistor, but when many things are involved, often it is the ignition which is bad. Not guaranteed of course, but a place to start.

x2 on replacing the blower resistor. IMO you have to start there, then seen what happens with your headlights.:th_thumb-up:
