• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Tennessee

Hey man you think we could meet a little later. My son has a game tommorrow that I forgot about.

Around 1-1:30 his game is at 11, normally lasts an hour. And it'll take me an hour to drive there. (Depending on traffic).
Have you got your plugs out yet?

So, guess what I did in the big rubber duck(yellow Tiburon)?

I was taking a friend home and I pull up to a light and this guy in a 03 mustank GT keeps looking over hard as he||. He then gestures to see if I want to race. I was a bit confused and then I look at my lady friend and see if she's up for it, and of course she is. In a typical "ricer" moment I inch forward to get the "advantage"...lolz and he does the same. The green light drops knowing I'm going to lose, I hit the gas. By time I get off the line I pull about 1 1/2 lengths on him and keep 1-2 lengths on him. I hit second and I hear him bark into second as I pull away. I know he must have needed a driver mod but dam* he got beat by a Hyundai??? I just started laughing my a$$ off as he drives by waving a salute to the winner. WTF My mind was blown even if he couldn't drive a Hyundai should never beat even a v6 mustang! The lady friend of mine knows bikes and cars pretty well and gave the guy a big thumbs up for his pride.

Got my swap finished and my SD headers modded so no more Leaks!
I'll take some finished pics when I get home. Forgot to take them while I was in process so I just threw the SC and LIM on there temporarily. Lol

no more gold? i think we should go for another ride after we get done sunday.
you work fsst for the record, i saw that you just got the throttle body adapter.

do you have any s/c oil i can buy off you incase the exhaust goes with out any issue? im thinking 3.6 snout is going on as soon as the scans are done.

Out with the old, in with the Blue. Lol
I don't have any oil. I've got to get some myself.
You'll need to use a syringe to get all of that oil out of the Sc before you remove the snout. You do not want that stinking sh*t to get on your engine or you!! It is a smell that is hard to deal with until you've done Several and kinda get used to the smell. Lol

its been changed recently so im just going to get some break cleaner and a spraybottle to get it out then whatever leaks gets spraed down

Nope. GM oil only.

Good luck getting the smell to go away.
I could smell it for damn near a month before it went away. Pressure washer didn't help.

has anyone ran lucas gear oil? wouldnt that work instead?

You bought a supercharged car and you don't want to run the correct oil in it? $25 should get you 2 bottles from local GM dealer. The seals are most likely 10 years old, do you really want a different oil on them.

GTFO it was a question, its a simple 1-1 gear rotation... I didn't say want to, it was just a question.

Easy there grasshopper. Lol
This guy is the SC guru. He actually designs IC 's for them.

I don't no about Lucas but people have put lots of brands of the wrong oil in.

Motor oil has detergent in it to suspend the dirt in the oil so that the oil pump can suck it up and push it through the oil filter. The nose of your supercharger has no filter so you don't want detergent, you want the dirt to fall out of the oil.

Your supercharger also has ball bearings the engine has no ball bearings. It will be the bearings that fail first not the gears in your supercharger. The oil is atomized by the gears and must make its way to all the bearings including the bearing by the pulley. Different types and viscosity oils atomize differently.

This is why you should use correct oil.

Now that's an answer I like to hear. I don't exactly enjoy when someone assumes that im being cheap or I don't want to do it right. ask scotty, bio and others about my thermostat and ignition questions.
If you come in trolling I will get a bit angry but if you describe why I will have more respect for the answer. I'm not the one to get smacked and just told that I'm just wrong.

I know you do great work, and I do apologize for getting mad.

You about ready to get that Two piece front manifold fixed! Lol
What all was I supposed to be bringing?

Been around a while and I've learned a little. I almost never buy Chinese parts if I can help it. Moog, timken, SKF or dealer are it for me these days. I don't like doing things twice and superchargers don't need oil changes often so why not use the right stuff.

I buy premium gas, it's only $4.50 extra a week to drive what I want. I use factory timing chains because the piece of crap ZZPP sold me broke and bent all the valves.
