temp gauge with 180 t-stat

where should my gauge needle be pointing, approximately?

it flucuates between quarter mark and half way.

and under hood temp is super high.

maybe im not used to a boosted engine temp

They gave the tiny m62's a heat exchange why not ours eh?
Mine regularly sits between quarter and half.

mine is like on the next notch up and im pretty sure i have a stock temp not sure though. i never changed it since the car was mine

That first line above 100 or 160, is 195 on the button pretty much.
