Swine Flu



Its bad enough that there are soccer games in Mexico that they are not allowing fans to attended.

think how bad it would have to be here in the us for a football game to have empty seats...
 
I had all the symptoms of swine flu last week, so I did the natural thing and took a weekend night off from going to the bars and Im still here. The symptoms are so broad that you could go to the doctors with a massive hangover and tell them you think you have swine flu and they'd lock down the city.
 
Well IMO I would rather be safe then sorry! I sure don't wanna get it or my daughter! And if I had to choose I would rather get it then her! They say its worse on kids....There has been ALOT of people in Mexico die from it. Over like 40 confirmed cases in the USA...Ya it might not be "that big of deal" but you never know....all the people crossing the borders..I dunno bout you guys but I LOVE my health!
 


we have healthcare and mexico doesnt. no one will die because of this unless you are too stupid to go to the doctor.
 
Welcome to the good old fear mongering media, prime example. Jess, do you know that more people die from just the influenza every year?

The basic flu that WE as the United States of America get a shot for each "flu season". Last year there was over 34,000 deaths JUST over the BASIC FLU! So here is a flu that they have NO cure for..and your not worried?!?!?!?!?!:th_scratchhead:

i dont care. if i get sick then i go to the doctor. until i get the swine flu then the media can shove it. that is like all the people that are worried about everything giving them cancer.
 


Well im not worried about cancer...I believe its not something you "catch". But ya I guess I understand FoSho guys view things different!!!
 
its not truly swine flu and they are sending the message to not label it as swine flu.

Its a super virus, they knew about em years ago, we all did, survival of the fittest. wernt all the victims mexican nationals? one kid in america died but was not a US resident, 160 died in mexico, no deaths here and doesnt look there will be any, anytime soon.

Its an economy booster. Dont believe the media.
 
I wonder if im going to get swine flu. Today i went to Englewood which is right on the border of NJ close to NYC and went to a dinner where some mexican cooking my food dropped a hair on my eggs...Since i hate my life, i picked out the hair and ate the eggs anyways :th_thumbsup-wink:

They have no cure for any flu. They have a vaccine that will protect against a handful of strains and they try to predict it, they get it wrong A LOT. Swine Flu is like any other flu, only difference is we haven't been exposed to it for centuries so we have no natural immunity to it. BUT, Tamiflu and other antivirals are working on it wonderfully. So if you feel sick, spike a fever, have body aches(your typical flu-like symptoms) go to the doctor. They'll swab your nose, if you have Influenza-A they'll culture it and you'll be under quaruntine and put on Tamiflu.

It's no big deal. We have more than enough antivirals to treat a big outbreak. Those most likely to be affected are the elderly and the very young.

You need to remember there less than a hundred CONFIRMED cases of Swine flu in mexico, the rest is assumed. And on top of that, there are only 7 confirmed deaths related to swine flu. The media likes to change things and warp them. Only 7 swine flu deaths, not 152, says WHO | smh.com.au

This flu has a LONG way to go before it's as bad as what we see normally every year. But hey, I'm looking forward to the histeria. It'll hopefully shut down my workplace and I'll get some extra time off :P
 
I guess you guys are missing my point..I dont care if its the Flu,Swine Flu, Grand Prix Flu! LOL I DONT WANT IT!!!! LOL But since im a redhead and I have super powers im not worried.....LOLOLOLOLOLOL
