Swapping Headlight's Question

Recently my headlight was like fogged up or something like it was covered up and so my dad and I ended up cleaning it up with something we got from NAPA and well I still find the headlights are kinda crappy! I found on usedregina a headlight assembly for a grand prix 2006 and was wondering if it would be the same for my 99 grand prix GT

I sanded my headlights downs and sprayed a catalyzed clear coat (only clear with UV stabilizers). They looked brand new and crystal clear until I looked at them from an angle. The plastic had grazing cracks deep into plastic-I tried them anyway and they were junk. I bought a new set off ebay from headlight factory in Michigan for $88 a set and they work excellent. New lights are generally the only real fix.

Most people I know with the 97-03 GP's use the original brackets and get aftermarket headlights. I've tried restoring the factory lenses and they never look clear. When you buy the new headlight assembly it comes with the brackets but they are flimsy and personally I just reuse the factory ones because they are much stronger. However sometimes the old adjusting screws get fused and wont adjust... 1997-2003 Pontiac Grand Prix Headlight Assembly - Pair (Both Driver and Passenger Sides) 98 99 00 01 02 (with Side Marker Light) - AutoLightsBulbs.com
